If you are a sexually active man then getting tested keeps both you and your partners safe.
Sexually transmissible infections (STIs) are common and may be caused by bacteria, viruses or parasites. You may think that only other people get STIs and that you are not at risk of catching one, but anybody who is sexually active can get an STI if they do not practice safe sex — that means condoms guys!
It's doesn't matter who you are having sex with or how you identity, STI's don't discriminate!
STI’s can be passed on during vaginal sex, anal sex and oral sex, as well as through genital and skin to skin contact with an infected partner.
You can’t tell just by looking at a person that they have an STI and infact some STI's don't have visable sypmtoms. If you have unprotected sex with a person who has an STI, you are at high risk of catching that infection.

If you think you have been exposed to an STI, see a doctor ASAP and don’t try to diagnose your symptoms yourself.
Many people who have an STI don’t have any obvious symptoms or signs. So it’s important you get the facts about how they are spread and always have safe sex.
Many poeple are unaawre that some Sexually transmitted infections (STIs), don't have any signs or take time to eventally show up.
Even if there are no signs and symptoms they can still develop complications or pass on the infection to others. Often the only way to know whether you have an STI is to get tested.
If you suspect that you have a sexually transmitted infection you should avoid sexual intercourse or any sexual activity completely until advised by a sexual health clinic or your doctor.
