SoSAFE! - Concepts and tools that promote social safety
About SoSAFE!
The SoSAFE! Framework is a conceptual and visual tools framework that promotes social safety, social skills and participation designed specifically for the learning and communication needs of people with moderate-severe cognitive disabilities and other neuro-diversity, including people on the autism spectrum. You can find out more about the SoSAFE! Framework, its tools and rationale at www.sosafeprogram.com. Previous participants in SoSAFE! training programs will also find current licensing agreement information on that website.
SHFPACT and SoSAFE!
Sexual Health and Family Planning ACT (SHFPACT) has been involved with the SoSAFE! Program for over 20 years. The organisation was involved with its original creators, two experienced specialist inclusion education teachers in ACT Schools, to support a pilot of the original program resources (2000-2004) and then as a training provider for the SoSAFE! User Training course. SHFPACT purchased all global intellectual property rights to the SoSAFE! Framework in 2016, and continues to provide SoSAFE! User Training in the ACT region and beyond. SHFPACT maintains and develops training partnership arrangements for the delivery of SoSAFE!-related training courses and implementation support services. SHFPACT has current SoSAFE! Training Partnership agreements with:
- Family Planning Tasmania (www.fpt.asn.au)
- Pyramid UK (www.pecs-unitedkingdom.com)
- SHQ (www.shq.com.au) formerly Family Planning Western Australia
